STATE FEDERAL VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES Each state provides vocational rehabilitation services for persons who are blind or visually impaired or have other disabling conditions. For assistance in a particular locale consult with the Telephone Directory Yellow Pages for listings of State Rehabilitation Services. LOCAL There are more than 1000 community agencies that provide employment related services. These range from training in the use of computers with access devices, braille or tape transcription services, technical assistance, and information about job ready candidates. Such agencies are often listed in the telephone directory under the heading "blind" or "blindness" services. Those seeking assistance may also contact the AFB Information Center or one of the Employment Team co-chairs.
